Animal suffering vs human freedom
Stranger: we stop people from doing those things
Stranger: that cause suffering and harm
Stranger: because we recognize that it's bad
You: yes we do lol. no one is going to stop you in becoming a terrorist and trying to kill all the meat eaters you find outside your home. you are free to do so
You: we are free to try to stop you....
Stranger: you're free in that you can physically move your arm and stab someone
Stranger: you're not free morally speaking to do that
Stranger: because humans recognize that's wrong
You: morals are very subjective and not something we should govern on.
You: I alreay explained to you that I see humans as more relevant than animals. I like my freedom to consume and enjoy my life as I see fit.
