Health care as a human right.
It is rooted in our human experience to appreciate all life on this planet, especially human life. The tragedy of losing someone to a disease can be felt everyday around the world. We have made immense progress in treating harmful diseases and illnesses that were deadly not so long ago using our advanced medical technology. Sadly, not everyone has access to these products and services since the cost of bringing these technologies to market is high. Many first world countries have made it the norm for citizens to have access to these commodities for free, yet the US is still lacking universal health care.
Most of our great advances in science are a product of our capitalist society. The promise to reap the rewards of your own labor catapulted brilliant minds into action to produce innovative and effective cures as well as powerful drugs. Interrupting this flow of innovation could yield an unintended and undesirable outcome for everyone.
The debate rages on because there is a lack of resources to make all of these new treatments and medicine available to everyone in the US.

Assault Style Weapons Ban & The Second Amendment
The sound of a gun is something most of us don't want to hear in our lifetime. The tragedy to see our young people perish at the hands of a mentally unstable person, has touched our hearts deeply. Very few countries allow their people the right to bare arms as freely as in the United States. Guns are considered by many as evil and immoral. In the United States, it is not unusual to wake up to the tragedy of another school shooting. It is a detestable feeling to be powerless watching as many pure, young, and innocent lives are taken away by these guns. These events have ignited a huge debate about our second amendment. One section of the population is asking for gun regulation, while other section of the population is worried about government over reach.
There is one thing in common that most people would agree on; that is that we must avoid gun tragedies as much as possible. Our laws already make gun dealers, importers and manufactures run background checks on the transfer of firearms. However, that has done little to stop people from getting their hands on assault style weapons. Lots of movements, as well as business support, have emerged to push for gun reform. An example of these movements is called "the March for Our Lives" that started when high school students come together after their school was targeted by a shooter.
The mass murderers often inspire other mentally unstable and evil people to commit the most heinous acts. The price of freedom has cost us many lives, but are we really willing to give up the right to self preservation? The debate rages on.

The Immigration Dilemma
In 2016, Donald J. Trump won the presidency of the United States. One of his more controversial and catchy promises he made during his campaign was to build a long wall along our southern border. The message resonated with many people around the country. It created both loyal fans and angry enemies.
President Trump voiced strong opinions about the criminal actions of certain undocumented immigrants. He exposed the Latino gang MS13's increasing crimes from murders to rapes. The crack down descended upon the notorious gang soon after he came to power. However, it divided the country and increased the tension in the already polarized country.
