Stranger: yes, markets create employment and innovation, what's your point?
You: that you calling for the government to regulate an industry because you don't like it, is the same mistake someone who wants to make an old couple bake them a cake by trying to make the supreme country force them.
You: creating a task force that "protects" your privacy can be used by the next presidency to regulate something you care about.
Stranger: What I am against is companies misinforming their consumers about the data they collect.
Stranger: Such information should be obligated to be revealed and standardized so it is understandable for the median person.
You: I think you have in your hands the power to change that. Instead of using free software, you may want to pay for an app and buy a business product where they wont' have a need to sell your data since you are paying them.
Stranger: Yeah, not gonna happen. Network effects.
You: it is reveled in the contracts that you agree with you sign up for a website or an app.
Stranger: 99.9% of people don't know.
Stranger: And as mention before, they are indecipherable and often lies.
