Debating a Libertarian Socialist
You: so what exactly do you believe as a libertarian socialist?
Stranger: Lot of the same things as libertarians, but I believe capitalism limits freedoms.
Stranger: So I want a system that favors
Stranger: The working class
You: how is the notion of you get to keep what you earn limist freedom? oppose to socialism that wants to relocate the means of production from individuals?
Stranger: Well no, the issue with capitalism is you don’t really keep what you earn. You get a fraction of what you own after capitalists skim the top and use those funds to protect their interests and neglect ours.
You: no capitalism is the notion of you keep what you earn. as a worker you are voluntary selling your time. you get what you negotiate from the business owner who invested and created the means of production.
Stranger: Well I would consider work or starve voluntary.
Stranger: *wouldn’t
You: no one is forcing you to be employed...
