Stranger: What source of energy?
Stranger: You're still going to need to refine steel and glass and plastics
You: hmm cold fusion would be nice to have.
Stranger: Those processes also generate waste
Stranger: We don't have cold fusion except in very limited scales in UK labs
Stranger: At the moment it's not ready for any practical application
You: still the answer to the issue at hand is the individual who studies and creates a source of energy. all of you people who want to stroke your own ego tying to "help" the environment actually makes it harder to fix the issue
Stranger: So since we can't cook or food and stay cool/warm with nuclear fusion we are stuck burning hydrocarbons or nuclear fission for now
You: if you remove the incentive for creators to innovate there will be less people tryign to find a new source of energy that makes sense economically
You: get a grip
