Lack of empathy
Stranger: It's technically the same
You: not really, I can see how from a third party perspective an can seem to lack empathy. but I feel the real reason a human would do somethign like that bad, is to greed for something that brings about pleasure.

Stranger: Or self interest?
You: not sure why can't it be both?
