You: oh, what are your views on immigration?
Stranger: I prefer the legal process or having a green card. I’m not super keen with people wandering through the borders unchecked
You: I understand. What do you tell the people who are not allowed to process legally? often the ones walking into the country.
Stranger: Every situation can be looked upon individually, but by and large I still prefer what I said before
You: well I understand. It is hard to stop poor people from settling thought. wouldn't ti be better strategy to educate the newcomers into your conservative values. It could be a better investment giving that your ideology rivals are doing a great job at it.
Stranger: Where my beliefs come from are simple a respect for the current rule of law and how it stands. I can understand the flight of poor folks and wanting to assimilate.
