You: okay how do you take that concept and you conclude lack of free will?
Stranger: because free will assumes you have some kind of cartesian free will to make decisions free of external stimuli, as a marxist i believe in cause and effect determinism, i do not think the individual is the locus of subjectivity,agency,and desire
Stranger: if you deny matter
Stranger: you are not giving a new theory of causality
Stranger: you have to tell me what you think causes material events to happen
Stranger: if you deny brownian motion
You: I just disagree that something that describes the pedantic motion of matter on a "given" environment translates to you not having free will. can you explain further the connection please?
Stranger: does it make it easier if i just say the environment determines the behavior
