You: like if you are asking for x that by your statement says it requires some type of concomitant contingencies. Can you have x without those contingencies and if so why aren't they listening to you?

Stranger: I was referring to the concomitant contingencies of adopting an ideology, or a label if you will
Stranger: but in terms of specific policy we might find ourselves in full agreement
Stranger: or full disagreement
Stranger: that would depend on the policy of course
You: I see, you want to evaluate every "issue" and then decide where you stand and taking any "label" would just leaving you defending something that you really don't believe. is that what you are trying to say?
Stranger: I do agree with the first part - yes, I prefer to choose my opinions piecemeal
