Stranger: What I find truly hilarious about this war is that both sides of the conflict are being waged by Jihadis, nazis and conscripts.

You: It is fascinating to me. it was interesting that you saw them as a cornered beast.

Stranger: Well, NATO has been expanding East for decades despite their promises not to.

Stranger: And Putin stood firm for decades about the last straw being Ukraine.

Stranger: So I think the analogy fits

You: I can see that.

Stranger: Like they don’t want this to happen, it’s sort of like the sick lion with a limp being stalked by the pack of hyenas.
