Marxist take on free will
Stranger: im not asking for a rules of logic im just asking for what your theory of causality is
Stranger: i.e why does a apple fall from a tree
You: right, that is what I am saying. I can't prove why reality exists. I just presuppose it does. just like just take for granted the laws of nature.
Stranger: well presuppositionalism is not logically valid
Stranger: unless you have an argument for it
You: I can't subscribe to absolute certainty. I mean I can understand your argument that if we live in this environment and we have attained complete knowledge of it then we can possibly eliminate the notion of free will. but we are not capable of such things cause don't' have a theory of everything yet.
Stranger: we don't need a theory of everything to know that ontology has practical relevance to human beings though
You: jordan person and sam harris debate on true comes to mind
Stranger: A theory of everything is probably impossible
You: I sill haven't' been convinced that no human posses the capabilities to understand our environment fully to truly say there is no free will as you put it. and how can it be impossible if you are subscribing to the notions of no free will based on the understanding one's environment...
